Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Tbilisi — Welcome to the City of Warm Sulphur & Ancient Streets

  • Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport and meet your Jagyatri representative holding your name board at the Arrivals section

  • Check in to the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi and freshen up before the adventure begins

  • Visit the iconic Metekhi Church and pay homage to King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi

  • Stroll through Rike Park, cross the stunning Peace Bridge, and ride the cable car up to the magnificent Narikala Fortress for panoramic city views and the towering Mother Georgia statue

  • Wander through the atmospheric district of Sulphur Baths and the charming Meidan Square — narrow streets, cozy cafés, wine tasting bars, and souvenir shops await

Day 2: Tbilisi → Gudauri → Kazbegi — Into the Heart of the Caucasus

  • Set off along the legendary Georgian Military Highway, heading north towards the Russian border

  • Stop at the Jhinvali Water Reservoir — a striking Soviet-era creation framed by dramatic mountain scenery

  • Explore the medieval Ananuri Fortress Complex, a former Dukedom residence with centuries-old churches and intricate grape-and-cross carvings overlooking the reservoir

  • Spot the magical confluence of two mountain rivers that flow side by side yet never fully merge — a true wonder of nature

  • Sip fresh mineral spring water at Mleta along the way

Day 3: Tbilisi → Uplistsikhe → Mtskheta — History Carved in Stone

  • Head out to Uplistsikhe — one of Georgia's oldest rock-hewn cave cities, dating back to the first millennium BC with over 150 ancient caves etched into a high rocky riverbank

  • Discover sacrificial chambers, Hellenistic-era ruins, and a medieval tunnel that once connected the cave city to the Mtkvari River (UNESCO Tentative List site)

  • Drive on to the Jvari Monastery (6th–7th century) perched dramatically on a cliff edge where the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers meet — an architectural and spiritual masterpiece

  • Browse the vibrant souvenir market before heading into Mtskheta, Georgia's ancient capital

  • Visit the grand Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most sacred churches in the Caucasus, built in the 11th century

Day 4: Tbilisi → Prometheus Cave → Martvili Canyon → Batumi — Wonders Underground & Above

  • Depart early from Tbilisi on a full-day adventure heading west towards the Black Sea coast

  • Descend into the extraordinary Prometheus Cave near Kutaisi — walk through illuminated halls filled with towering stalactites and stalagmites, and glide through on a magical underground boat ride along a subterranean river

  • Continue to the stunning Martvili Canyon — 2,400 metres of lush subtropical gorge, a 12-metre waterfall, fossilised animal bones, and ancient human traces in riverside grottos, once the royal bathing spot of the Dadiani family

  • Enjoy a lunch break before making your way to the vibrant coastal city of Batumi on the Black Sea

Day 5: Batumi — City, Blooms & Beachside Bliss

  • Start your morning exploring Batumi's most iconic spots: Europe Square, the futuristic Alphabetic Tower, the golden Statue of Medea, the beloved Ali and Nino rotating sculpture, the Batumi Ferris Wheel, and the lively Piazza Batumi

  • Spend the afternoon wandering through the lush Batumi Botanical Garden — a stunning hillside sanctuary with diverse plant collections and gorgeous sea views

Day 7: Batumi → Tbilisi — Farewell to the Black Sea

  • After breakfast, check out of Courtyard Marriott Batumi and begin the scenic drive back to Tbilisi

  • Settle into your final night at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi — last chance to soak in the city's charming old town, grab some churchkhela from the bazaar, or toast to an incredible journey with a glass of Georgian wine

Day 8: Tbilisi — Departure Day

  • Enjoy a leisurely final breakfast and check out of your hotel by 12:00 PM

  • Leave your luggage at the hotel lobby and use your remaining time to explore the city, pick up last-minute souvenirs, or simply sip coffee in the old town

  • Your driver will arrive at the hotel lobby 3 hours before your departure flight and transfer you to Tbilisi International Airport
